Tower Blast by ChipChill Games
Effective date: 11 August 2026 (replaces the version of 27 July 2026)
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you play Tower Blast (the “Game”), how it is used, and the choices you have. The Game is developed and published by ChipChill Games (“we”, “us”).
The short version: the Game requires no account and asks for nothing personal — no name, no e-mail, no contacts, no location. Like most free, ad-supported mobile games, it uses a small number of trusted third-party services for advertising, analytics, crash reporting and advertising measurement, and those services automatically process certain device information described below.
1. Information collected automatically
We do not ask you to provide any personal information. The following categories of data are collected automatically by the third-party services built into the Game:
| Category | Examples | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Device information | Device model, operating system version, language, screen size, app version | Ad delivery, analytics, crash diagnosis |
| Advertising and device identifiers | Google Advertising ID and App Set ID (Android), IDFA (iOS — only with your permission) and IDFV (iOS) | Serving and measuring ads, attributing installs; personalized ads only where you have consented |
| Install and attribution data | Google Play install referrer, Meta install referrer, campaign and click identifiers, install and session timestamps | Working out which advertisement led you to install the Game, and whether our advertising is worth what it costs |
| Advertising revenue data | Per-impression ad revenue estimates, ad unit and ad network identifiers | Measuring the return on our advertising spend (see §5) |
| App activity | Gameplay events such as runs played, scores, session length, ads viewed | Understanding and improving the Game (difficulty, features, stability) |
| Diagnostics | Crash logs, performance data | Finding and fixing bugs |
| Approximate network information | IP address (processed by the services below, e.g. to estimate country/region) | Ad delivery, fraud prevention, regional compliance |
Your settings and high scores are stored locally on your device only and are not transmitted to us.
2. Information you choose to give us
The Game has no sign-up, no profile and no messaging, so the only way you can send us anything is by contacting us yourself. If you e-mail us for support, we receive your e-mail address and whatever you put in the message, and we use it only to answer you. The Game’s Settings → Info screen shows a device identifier that you can copy if we ask for it to diagnose a problem — it is displayed on your device and is never sent to us unless you choose to send it.
3. Third-party services we use
The Game integrates the following services. Each processes data under its own privacy policy, linked below:
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Google LLC | Displaying ads (interstitial and rewarded video) | policies.google.com/privacy · how Google uses ad data |
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Google LLC | Usage analytics | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Google LLC | Crash reporting | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| GameAnalytics | GameAnalytics ApS | Usage analytics | gameanalytics.com/privacy |
| Tenjin | Tenjin, Inc. | Install attribution and advertising-revenue measurement | tenjin.com/privacy |
| Meta SDK for Unity | Meta Platforms, Inc. | Install and session reporting for advertising we run on Facebook and Instagram | facebook.com/privacy/policy · Meta business tools terms |
4. Advertising and personalization
The Game is funded by ads. Depending on your region and your choices, ads are either personalized (based on your advertising identifier and inferred interests) or non-personalized (based only on context such as your approximate region and the current session). We do not control the content of ads; they are served by Google AdMob and its certified ad partners.
5. Attribution and advertising measurement
We advertise the Game in order to be found. To know which of those advertisements actually work — rather than guessing — the Game reports each install and each session to Tenjin and to the Meta SDK. Between them they answer two questions: which advertisement you saw before you installed, and whether the money spent on that advertisement was earned back.
In practice this means:
- When you install the Game, the store’s install referrer — a short string naming the campaign that referred you, placed by Google Play or, for advertisements on Facebook and Instagram, by the Meta app — is read once and sent to the services above. It identifies the advertisement, not you.
- Your advertising identifier is used to match that install to the advertisement, where you have consented to it (see §6).
- Estimated revenue for each ad impression you see is forwarded to Tenjin so that advertising spend can be compared against advertising income in aggregate. These are fractions of a cent per impression and say nothing about you.
- On iOS, Apple’s privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork reports campaign performance to us in aggregated, delayed form that Apple designs not to identify individual users.
We use this only in aggregate, to decide where to advertise. It is not used to build a profile of you, and we never combine it with anything you send us by e-mail.
6. Your choices and consent
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — on first launch the Game shows a consent dialog (Google’s certified consent management platform). You can decline personalized advertising there. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Info → Manage Consent in the Game. Declining also restricts the attribution services in §5: they are told your choice and stop using device identifiers, and your new answer takes effect immediately, without a restart.
- On iOS — the Game asks for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you decline, your IDFA is never accessed, ads are non-personalized, and the attribution services in §5 are told not to use tracking data. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- On Android — you can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ads personalization in Settings → Google → Ads.
- In California and other US states with similar laws — the Meta SDK is configured with Meta’s Limited Data Use setting, which restricts how your data is processed for residents of states that require it. You can additionally use the device-level controls above, which apply to every service listed in §3.
7. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on consent for personalized advertising and for install attribution that uses device identifiers (collected through the consent dialog described above, and withdrawable at any time), and on our legitimate interest in understanding aggregate usage and keeping the Game stable for analytics and crash reporting. Where consent is declined, Google’s services operate in a restricted, consent-aware mode, and the attribution services stop using device identifiers.
8. Your rights
Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, the right to object, and the right to data portability. Most data described in this policy is held by the third-party providers listed above under their own controls; we will assist with any request where we can. To exercise a right, contact us at the address below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, using advertising identifiers for personalized advertising and for the attribution described in §5 may count as a “sale” or as “sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising” under some US state privacy laws. The opt-outs in §6 are how you exercise your right to stop it.
9. Children
The Game is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Game, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
10. Data retention
We do not operate our own servers and do not store your personal data ourselves. Data collected by the services above is retained under their published retention policies (for example, Google Analytics for Firebase user-level data is retained for a limited period, currently up to 14 months). Locally stored data (settings, scores) remains on your device until you delete the Game or clear its data.
11. International transfers
The service providers listed above may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses maintained by those providers.
12. Security
Data handled by the services above is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but the providers we use maintain certified, widely audited security programs.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time (for example, if we add or remove a service). The current version will always be available at this address, with the effective date shown at the top. Material changes will be reflected in the Game’s next update notes.
